Dacor Refrigerator Error Codes

Dacor Refrigerator Error Code F8

Troubleshooting:

  1. Check the water supply to the refrigerator. Make sure that the water supply valve is turned on and that the water pressure is adequate.
  2. Check the water inlet valve. The water inlet valve is located on the back of the refrigerator, near the water line. Use a multimeter to check the resistance of the water inlet valve. If the resistance is zero, the valve is faulty and needs to be replaced.
  3. Check the wiring to the water inlet valve. Make sure that the wiring is properly connected to the water inlet valve and to the control board.

If you have checked the water supply and the water inlet valve and they are both working properly, you will need to replace the water inlet valve:

  1. Unplug the refrigerator from the power outlet.
  2. Locate the water inlet valve on the back of the refrigerator.
  3. Use a wrench to disconnect the water line from the water inlet valve.
  4. Remove the screws that secure the water inlet valve to the refrigerator.
  5. Remove the water inlet valve.
  6. Install the new water inlet valve.
  7. Reconnect the water line to the water inlet valve.
  8. Reconnect the refrigerator to the power outlet.

Additional Tips:

  • If you are experiencing other problems with your Dacor refrigerator, such as a low freezer temperature or a noisy compressor, the water inlet valve failure may be a symptom of a larger problem.
  • It is important to keep your refrigerator clean and well-maintained to help prevent problems.
  • Replace the water filter in your refrigerator every six months to ensure that your refrigerator is getting clean water.
