Dacor Refrigerator Error Codes

Dacor Refrigerator Error Code F7

This error code indicates that the water sensor in your Dacor refrigerator has failed. The water sensor is responsible for detecting the presence of water in the water inlet valve. If the water sensor fails, the refrigerator will not be able to fill the ice maker or water dispenser.

Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the error code F7:

  1. Check the water supply. Make sure that the water supply to the refrigerator is turned on and that the water pressure is adequate.
  2. Check the water inlet valve. Make sure that the water inlet valve is properly seated and that there are no leaks.
  3. Check the water sensor. The water sensor is located in the water inlet valve. You can check the water sensor for proper placement and functionality by following these steps:
    • Disconnect the power to the refrigerator.
    • Remove the water inlet valve from the refrigerator.
    • Disconnect the wires from the water sensor.
    • Use a multimeter to measure the resistance of the water sensor. The resistance should be between 100 and 1,000 ohms.

If you have checked all of these items and the error code is still present, the water sensor is likely defective. You will need to replace the water sensor to correct the problem.

If you are comfortable working with electrical components, you can replace the water sensor yourself. You can purchase a replacement water sensor from a Dacor authorized dealer or online.

To replace the water sensor, follow these steps:

  1. Disconnect the power to the refrigerator.
  2. Remove the water inlet valve from the refrigerator.
  3. Disconnect the wires from the old water sensor.
  4. Connect the wires to the new water sensor.
  5. Reinstall the water inlet valve.
  6. Restore power to the refrigerator.

If you are not comfortable working with electrical components, or if you are unable to resolve the error code after checking the water supply, water inlet valve, and water sensor, you should contact a qualified appliance repair technician for assistance.
