Dacor Refrigerator Error Codes

Dacor Refrigerator Error Code F14

The error code F14 indicates that the freezer fan in your Dacor refrigerator has failed. This can cause the freezer temperature to rise, which can lead to food spoilage.

To troubleshoot this error code, you can follow these steps:

  1. Check the power supply to the freezer fan. Make sure that the power cord is plugged in and that the circuit breaker is not tripped.
  2. Check the connections to the freezer fan. Make sure that the wiring is secure and that there are no broken or frayed wires.
  3. Check the freezer fan itself. Make sure that the fan is spinning freely and that there are no obstructions.

If you have checked all of these things and the error code is still appearing, you will need to replace the freezer fan.

To replace the freezer fan, you will need the following tools:

  • Phillips head screwdriver
  • Torx screwdriver (may be required)

Instructions:

  1. Unplug the refrigerator from the power outlet.
  2. Remove the screws that secure the freezer cover.
  3. Lift off the freezer cover.
  4. Locate the freezer fan.
  5. Disconnect the wiring from the freezer fan.
  6. Remove the screws that secure the freezer fan.
  7. Lift out the old freezer fan.
  8. Install the new freezer fan.
  9. Connect the wiring to the new freezer fan.
  10. Secure the freezer fan with the screws.
  11. Replace the freezer cover.
  12. Plug the refrigerator back into the power outlet.

Once you have replaced the freezer fan, you should reset the error code. To do this, press and hold the “Freezer” button for 10 seconds. The error code should clear from the display.

If the error code does not clear, you may need to contact a qualified technician for further assistance.
