Dacor Refrigerator Error Codes

Dacor Refrigerator Error Code F11

The F11 error code indicates a water level sensor failure. The water level sensor is responsible for detecting the amount of water in the ice maker reservoir. If the sensor fails, the ice maker will not be able to function properly.

There are a few things you can do to troubleshoot the F11 error code:

  1. Check the water level sensor for proper placement. The sensor should be located in the ice maker reservoir. Make sure that it is properly seated in the reservoir and that the connections are secure.
  2. Check the water level sensor for functionality. You can do this by using a multimeter to measure the resistance of the sensor. The resistance should be between 1000 and 2000 ohms.
  3. Replace the water level sensor if it is faulty. If you have checked the sensor for proper placement and functionality and it is still faulty, you will need to replace it.

DIY Repair:

If you are comfortable working with electrical components, you can replace the water level sensor yourself. The sensor is located in the ice maker reservoir. To access the sensor, you will need to remove the ice maker from the refrigerator.

Once the ice maker is removed, you can disconnect the power to the sensor. The sensor is usually connected to a wire harness. Once the power is disconnected, you can remove the sensor from the reservoir.

To install the new sensor, simply reverse the steps above. Make sure that the sensor is properly seated in the reservoir and that the connections are secure.

Additional Troubleshooting Tips:

  • If you have replaced the water level sensor and the error code is still present, there may be another underlying issue. In this case, you should contact a qualified technician for further diagnosis.
  • If you are experiencing other issues with your Dacor refrigerator, such as a lack of ice or a high freezer temperature, the F11 error code may be a symptom of a larger problem. In this case, you should also contact a qualified technician for further diagnosis.
