Dacor Refrigerator Error Codes

Dacor Refrigerator Error Code E1

The E1 error code on a Dacor refrigerator indicates that the refrigerator door is open.

This can be caused by a number of things, including:

  • The door is not fully closed.
  • The door switch is faulty.
  • The door seal is damaged.

To troubleshoot the E1 error code, follow these steps:

  1. Check the door. Make sure that the door is fully closed and latched. If the door is not fully closed, close it and see if the error code goes away.
  2. Check the door switch. The door switch is a small switch located on the inside of the refrigerator door. It tells the refrigerator when the door is open or closed. To check the door switch, use a multimeter to measure the resistance between the two terminals of the switch. If the resistance is infinite, the switch is faulty and needs to be replaced.
  3. Check the door seal. The door seal is a rubber gasket that helps to keep the cold air inside the refrigerator. If the door seal is damaged, it can allow cold air to escape, which can cause the refrigerator to overheat. To check the door seal, look for any cracks or tears. If you find any damage, the door seal needs to be replaced.

Self-repair

If you are comfortable working with electrical components, you can try to replace the door switch yourself. To do this, you will need to disconnect the power to the refrigerator and then remove the door panel. Once the door panel is removed, you can access the door switch. Follow the instructions that came with the replacement door switch to install it.

If you are unable to troubleshoot the E1 error code yourself, you should contact a qualified technician for assistance.
