Liebherr Refrigerator Icemaker Troubles
Nobody can feel the pain of Liebherr refrigerator owners when the ice maker stops working. Unless, you are exactly this lucky person. If so, go on reading this short guide. First you will need to remove the thing. Take all the bins and shelves out. Lie on your back and look up at the ice maker. You will see two clips that hold it in place. Press them in with two butter knives on each side and when you have them pressed in have another person pull out the ice maker. Check to see if your bin is broken. Take a small screwdriver and remove the front nameplate. Remove the screw. There is another screw on the side. Replace the parts needed. Most likely, you will need to check the ice level control board for a failure. When the ice level reaches the top of the bucket, it interrupts the infrared beam. The control board then shuts off the ice maker. When the ice level drops below the beam, the control board signals the ice maker to make more ice. If the ice level control board fails, the ice maker will stop making ice. Ensure that the ice level control board is getting power. If the ice level control board is getting power, but the ice maker won’t work, replace the ice level control board. Check the ice maker switch as well, it might be defective. It is also possible that the ice maker switch got turned off by accident. Check the switch to ensure that it is turned on. If the ice maker switch is turned on, but the ice maker still isn’t working, use a multimeter to test the switch for continuity. If the ice maker switch does not have continuity, replace it. Don’t hesitate to ask a professional refrigerator repair assistant for help.
