Electrolux Washer Error Codes

Electrolux Washer Error Code E60

Error Code E60 suggests a problem with the heating element or temperature sensor. Before diving into component testing, ensure that your washer is unplugged to guarantee your safety.

Step 1: Check Wiring Connections:

Begin by inspecting the wiring connections to the temperature sensor and heating element. Over time, vibrations and usage can lead to loose connections. Reconnect any detached wires securely.

Step 2: Testing with a Multimeter:

To determine the health of the temperature sensor and heating element, employ a multimeter. Set the multimeter to the resistance (ohms) setting and test each component individually.

  • Temperature Sensor: Disconnect the sensor, place the multimeter probes on its terminals, and check for resistance. If the reading is infinite or significantly deviates from the expected value, the sensor may be faulty and requires replacement.
  • Heating Element: Test the heating element by placing the multimeter probes on its terminals. A normal reading indicates continuity, while an abnormal or infinite reading signals a defective heating element, necessitating replacement.

Step 3: Replace Faulty Parts:

If either the temperature sensor or heating element proves faulty during testing, replacement is imperative. Obtain the appropriate replacement parts from reliable sources, ensuring compatibility with your Electrolux washer model.

Step 4: PCB Inspection:

If both the temperature sensor and heating element pass the multimeter test, the fault may lie with the Printed Circuit Board (PCB). Unfortunately, PCB issues often require professional attention, and replacement is recommended.
